Britt Lower (alex) won the 2025 emmy award for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her role as Helly R. in the hit apple tv series severance. prior to severance, britt was known to international television audiences through her roles as Liz in Man Seeking Woman, and Tanya Sitkowsky in Unforgettable. Britt has also starred and supported in numerous independent films including Mr. Rosevelt, Sisters, and darkest Miriam. In addition to acting, britt is also a trained face painter and a circus performer. Her passion for the circus inspired her to write and direct an original short film circus person which premiered at tribeca 2021. Britt was born and raised in Heyworth, IL and earned her Bachelor of Science in Communication from Northwestern University in 2008. the role of alex in The shells was britt’s first leading role in a feature film.

Many people recognize her from the first two seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation where she played the holodeck simulation Minuet.
